This Privacy Policy explains what information LS Lifestyle (the website and web app at mylifestylemod.com, and the in-game phone features of the LS Lifestyle mod that connect to it, together the "Service") collects, why, who it's shared with, how long it's kept, and what you can do about it. The Service is run by the operator of MyLifestyleMod.com ("we", "us"), who is responsible for your information.
The short version: we collect what a small community needs to work: your account details, what you post and send, and some technical information such as IP addresses to keep the Service safe. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: username, farm name, and, if you sign up with email, your email address and password. Passwords are never stored as typed; we keep only a salted, slow cryptographic hash (PBKDF2).
- Profile: profile and cover pictures, bio, and any optional "Intro" details you choose to add (for example relationship status, age, location, hometown, work, traits or a profile song).
- Content: posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, reactions, shares, stories, reels, feelings, check-ins and people you tag, groups and pages you run, Online dealer listings, phone wallpapers, and messages you send.
- Reports you send about content or people, and anything you write when you email us.
From Discord (only if you use "Continue with Discord")
- Your Discord user ID and username (your Discord display name is used once, to suggest a username). We ask Discord only for basic identity ("identify") and never see your Discord password, email, servers or messages.
From the game (only if you use the mod or Lifestyle Link)
- Your in-game phone number (player code) and the sign-in token your copy of the game uses.
- Game stats, only if you share them (for example money, land and phone-game scores) for the leaderboards, and vehicle details when you list a vehicle in the Online dealer.
Collected automatically
- IP addresses. We keep the most recent addresses (up to 10) each account has used. We use them to keep accounts secure, to limit abuse (for example too many sign-in attempts) and to enforce bans, including blocking addresses of people who were banned.
- Activity details such as when your account was created and last seen, and whether you're online (shown to friends).
- Cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in. See the Cookie Notice.
- Server logs of events such as sign-ups, sign-ins and errors, which can include usernames and IP addresses.
We don't collect precise location, contacts, or payment information, and we don't buy data about you from anyone.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service: create your account, sign you in, show your posts and profile to the people allowed to see them, deliver messages and notifications, make leaderboards and process photos and videos.
- To keep the Service safe: prevent spam and abuse, review reports, moderate content, and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
- To fix problems and improve the Service.
- To contact you about your account or a request you made. We don't send marketing email.
- To meet legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our agreement with you (running the Service), our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and moderated), your consent (optional profile details and sharing game stats, which you can remove at any time), and legal obligations.
3. Who can see your information
- Public posts, comments and your profile (name, farm, pictures, bio and intro details) can be seen by other signed-in users, including on their in-game phones. Public photos (with your name and caption) and leaderboards (name, farm, picture and the shared stat) can also appear on the public stats page, which anyone can view.
- Friends-only posts are shown to your friends.
- Messages are seen by the people in the chat. Staff can see a message when it's reported.
- Staff (the owner and moderators) can see account details needed to moderate, such as warnings and reports; the owner can also see the IP addresses kept for an account.
- AI neighbours are software. If the owner has turned AI features on, messages you send to an AI neighbour or the LS AI assistant are processed as described below.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with these service providers, as needed to run the Service:
- DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers and stores the Service's data.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks. All traffic, including your IP address, passes through Cloudflare.
- Anthropic or OpenAI, only if the server owner has enabled AI features, and only for the text you send to an AI feature or an AI neighbour (with the recent conversation needed to answer). These providers process it under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Discord, when you choose to sign in with Discord.
- Google Fonts: the web app loads its typeface from Google's servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the font loads.
Stock videos from Pexels are downloaded to our own server, so watching them doesn't send your information to Pexels.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect someone's safety (for example reporting child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the police), or to protect the rights and safety of the Service and its users. If the Service is ever handed over to a new operator, your information would go with it under this policy, and we'd tell you first.
5. Where it's stored
Our servers and providers may be in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We rely on our providers' standard safeguards for those transfers.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and profile: as long as your account exists.
- Posts, photos, videos and comments: until you delete them or your account is deleted.
- Stories: about 24 hours.
- Messages: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Notifications: your most recent 100.
- IP addresses: the latest 10 per account, older ones are replaced; addresses blocked because of a ban are kept until the ban is lifted.
- Website sign-ins: 30 days (the "hub_web" cookie), or until you sign out.
- Reports and moderation records (warnings, timeouts, suspensions and bans): as long as needed to keep the community safe and to enforce bans.
- Server logs: we aim to keep them no longer than 90 days.
- Backups: overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data can remain in a backup for a short time.
7. Your choices and rights
- Change your information: edit your profile, username (once a day), farm name, email and password, and remove optional profile details at any time.
- Control your content: delete your posts and comments, choose Public or Friends for Farmbook posts, and block people.
- Game stats: sharing is your choice; turn it off in the game at any time.
- Delete your account yourself: on the website open your menu > Account & password > Delete my account. It removes your account, profile, posts, photos, videos, stories, comments and messages straight away.
- Get a copy, or have us delete it: email the contact address on our Contact page from the email address on your account (or tell us your username and how to confirm the account is yours, for example by messaging a staff member from it). We'll confirm it's you, then delete your account, profile, posts, photos, videos, comments and messages, normally within 30 days. Reports and moderation records needed to keep a ban in place may be kept, and content others shared or copied may remain.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or some US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to data portability. Email the contact address on our Contact page to use them; we won't treat you differently for doing so. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The Service is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we'll delete the account and its information. Users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission. Parents or guardians who have questions, or who believe their child under 13 has an account, can contact the contact address on our Contact page.
Please don't share personal details such as your full name, address, school or phone number in posts or messages, especially if you are under 18.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, store passwords only as salted hashes, keep sign-in cookies HttpOnly, limit sign-in attempts and restrict who on the staff can see what. No online service is perfectly secure, and messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so don't share anything very sensitive on the Service. If you find a security problem, please tell us at the contact address on our Contact page.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. For important changes we'll also let you know on the site or in the app.
11. Contact
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy: the contact address on our Contact page. Everything else: see the Contact page.
