LS Lifestyle respects the rights of creators and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of copyright infringement in line with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512) and similar laws elsewhere.
Reporting infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own (or are authorised to act for), send a written notice to our designated copyright agent at the contact address on our Contact page. Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works).
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed (or a list, if there are several).
- Where the infringing material is on the Service, specific enough for us to find it, such as the link to the post, reel or profile, or the username and a description.
- Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Before sending a notice, please consider whether the use might be allowed (for example fair use). Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Incomplete notices may not be acted on.
What happens next
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material, and we let the user who posted it know, including a copy of the notice (we may remove your personal contact details from it if you ask).
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you had the right to post it, you can send a counter-notice to the contact address on our Contact page. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which the Service may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
We'll forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they don't tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to stop the infringement, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we received your counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights, in appropriate circumstances.
